A Terminator reboot is happening, and it has been announced that Emilia Clarke from Game of Thrones (Daenerys , the mother of dragon) is auditionning for the role of Sarah Conner.
There is simply no way that this can be good, how can it? When the first series were so incredibly successful both at the box office and by critics.
The original release of The Terminator was successful due in large part because of timing; the year is 1984, and the Soviet Cold War was upon us, the tech industry was growing, and people were still credulous to the potential cyborg-computers could have on war. The Terminator was violent, action packed and fantastic...for its time.
I say that a Terminator reboot is 1- unnecessary, 2- bound to fail.
