Competition reality shows are (not) amazing, pining one humans against another for entertainment is god damn silly.
Millions upon millions of people tuning in to watch people sing, dance or whatever else they do, are we programmed to celebrate mediocrity?
Maybe I'm missing something?!?
Perhaps adding something on The Voice, where final competitors fight to the death during the final episode with Ginsu knifes, which by the way -have lifetime warranties so they could in fact recycle these murderous weapons for upcoming seasons.
The little that I do know about these shows is that there always seems to have judges with no credentials judging contestants.
Moving on to more pleasantly entertaining shows;
The Following (Fox January 21st)
The new Kevin Bacon show "The Following" probably wont cant cancelled. <-- that was kinda positive.
But yes...i do anticipate this to be a fun filled family show.
Here's the synopsis:
"A brilliant and charismatic, yet psychotic serial killer communicates with other active serial killers and activates a cult of believers following his every command."
Bates Motel (A&E March 18th)
As previously posted here at Steal This Review headquarter aka my living room, I'm really looking forward to Bates Motel.
Synopsis:
"This film (TV series ) intends to give viewers an intimate understanding of how Norman Bates' psyche developed from his childhood through his teen years. Fans will have access to the dark, twisted back story and learn first hand how his mother, Norma, and her lover damaged Norman, helping forge the most well-known serial killing motel owner in history"
Hannibal (NBC January -ish)
As a fan of the Manhunter series (Hannibal, Silences of the lambs, Red Dragon, Hannibal rising), my interest is there however, this may as well be titled anything but Hannibal and been a simple good-guy bad-guy a la CSI ...detective looking for deranged psychopath (s) tv series.
Synopsis:
"Explores the early relationship the renowned psychiatrist and his patient, a young FBI criminal profiler, who is haunted by his ability to empathize with serial killers"
2nd part coming soon....
