Marvel has officially confirmed that famed writer &director Drew Goddard ("Buffy the Vampire Slayer," "Lost," Cloverfield, The Cabin in the Woods and World War Z) has taken on the helm of the new "Daredevil." TV show
Goddard will take on the writing and directing duties for the first episode of "Daredevil," and will then take a backseat to become Executive Producer for the following 13-episode
The series is set to premier on Netflix sometime in 2015.
"Daredevil" is one of several shows that will build to a crossover miniseries, "The Defenders." The other planned series include "Jessica Jones," "Iron Fist" and "Luke Cage," with the epic unfolding over multiple years of original programming, taking Netflix members deep into the gritty world of heroes and villains of Hell's Kitchen, New York. Netflix has committed to a minimum of four, thirteen episodes series and the culminating mini-series event that reimagines a dream team of self-sacrificing, heroic characters.
