Review on: The Wolverine

The Wolverine starring Hugh Jackman...
Judging from the trailer, this will be something worth watching.
As a fan of the original Marvel comic book series, I am excited to see a storyline that somewhat relates to the original comic book.
Wolverine, the comic book series,  has never been a cheerful story of good  versus  evil, therefore its appeal isn't relate-able to a clean cut jovial superhero, but rather to a darker, complex, vengeful, borderline sociopath, likable hard ass.
Are we going to see some weapon X ..perhaps not
However, undoubtedly there will be blood

Review on: Movie 43

Movie 43 is in reality a bunch of short comedy sketches wrapped up in a nonsensical storyline.
The tagline for this film is half true "The biggest cast ever assembled for the most outrageous comedy ever made" Try to guess what half is what.
There are a multitude of directors, writers and actors. some famous.some not so much.
From Seth MacFarlane to Bob Odenkirk, you are bound to find at least one of these sketches funny.

The movie as a whole isn't great, however, it does offer such a wide variety of gags and humor that it does have a little something for everybody.
Some of the humour is outright ridiculous, but if you can stomach the bad, you may enjoy the rest of this ambitious project.

IF you are looking for a different kind of comedy...and truthfully what's currently available out there now is pretty bad, you may want to give this one a chance. 5/10 ( take into account that I rarely find comedy films funny).

Overdue Reviews: Identity Thief, Oz the great and the powerful

I've been on a movie review hiatus and quite frankly, with so little quality screening in theaters, there's really nothing much to talk about.

Films such as the potentially decent but incredibly dull comedy "Identity Thief" is just one of the examples of highly promoted and under delivering films to have come out in the past few months. 4/10 <-- This is rewarding the effort rather than the content

Oz The Great and the Powerful was incredibly lame and bland, relying heavily on uninspired CGI.
With a dumbed down script and lack of any originality, the potential to make this story good died in the hands of an uncreative and maybe uninspired director- Sam Raimi (famous for the garbage that was the Spider Man films and also famous for the amazing Evil Dead series). Neither a Bruce Campbell appearance or flying monkeys could save this Disney product. 2/10 ( 1 point given for Bruce Campbell and 1 point for the Flying Monkey)

Oh and if you're thinking of renting, purchasing the DVD or seeing any of these in theaters, please save your hard earned money(assuming you work and not leaching off my taxes) and buy yourself a pack of Winchester's.

Many reviews to come...

Alright, it's been over a month.
No reviews but many to come.
I've just been working a lot lately, and quite honestly other than the occasional random release, February was simply quiet.

My weekend job is in fact in an Asian sweatshop
