Samuel L. Jackson is currently in talks to join Alexander Skarsgard in Warner Bros.' reboot of Tarzan

Variety is reporting that veteran actor Samuel L. Jackson is currently in talks to join Alexander Skarsgard in Warner Bros.' reboot of Tarzan

As of yet, little is known about this reboot, one thing that is known is that the project has been pushed back many times, and although earlier reports had Jamie Foxx interested in joining the project, but timing has led  to Foxx  passing on the role.

The new people behind teh project have finally put together a five-minute re-visualization presentation to present Warner Bros. so they can understand how the movie would work, which got the project greenlit and moving forward.

The Variety article also makes mentions that The Wolf of Wall Street's Margot Robbie is under consideration to play the love interest Jane, although she doesn't have an offer yet, while Christoph Waltz is also already confirmed as part of the cast.

George St-Pierre cast as villain in Captain America: The Winter Soldier

"It's an origin film. You meet people who are going to be around for a while, so they introduce the characters. It's almost like it's a series. It's fun. I can't say very much about it because Marvel's very strict about what you're allowed to say. The movie, we've seen bits of it, and it is spectacular."

Asked if Marvel has plans for Grillo to return as Crossbones, he replied:

"They do actually. We'll see what happens. We'll see if the fans respond to Brock and how it goes."
