The Lego Movie Review
From the actual toys, to the video game to multiple made for TV movies, the Lego brand has won the hearts and minds of billions for over 60 years.
But somehow, movie studios have been able to mangle and ruin many toy franchises; Battleship, Smurfs, Dungeons and Dragons, Masters of the Universe (He-Man) , the list is long.
The Lego Movie could have fallen into that same trap...but....it did not, far from it, The Lego Movie was a lot of fun
It had an extremely original visual concept blended a mix of visuals uncommon to typical animation films, a blend of lifelike toy realism, computer animation and...real life actors.
The story is interesting but almost plays a secondary role to the clever and fun visual effects..
There are plenty of jokes for kids and adults of all ages and a few jokes that are clearly adult aimed which will probably go over most kids heads.
A story of good vs. evil with a few fun twists, where the hero is a simple generic Lego character named Emmett who needs to fight off the evil Lord Business who forces Lego conformity ( no mixing of different Lego colors or themes) in the world which Emmet lives in.

Sony Pictures releases the trailer for 22 Jump Street sequel
After making their way through high school (twice), big changes are in store for officers Schmidt (Jonah Hill) and Jenko (Channing Tatum) when they go deep undercover at a local college. But when Jenko meets a kindred spirit on the football team, and Schmidt infiltrates the bohemian art major scene, they begin to question their partnership. Now they don't have to just crack the case - they have to figure out if they can have a mature relationship. If these two overgrown adolescents can grow from freshmen into real men, college might be the best thing that ever happened to them

Ghostbusters 3 Release date set, filming to begin
I had to take a quick break away from work to post this news tidbit
According to an NBC affiliate in Cleveland, Ghostbusters 3 is set to start filming in and around the city some time in spring 2014, set for a 2015 release date
Sony pictures is hopeful to have the film ready for the summer 2015 or sometime in December 2015.
There have been 2 rumored casting, one is Jonah Hill and the other is Emma Stone. No word yet on wheter or not the notoriously evasive, elusive and secretive Bill Murray will reprise his role as Dr. Peter Venkman

This is the End... Perhaps the only comedy worth watching right now
This is the End...
Is the only comedy I will recommend anyone watching at this time.
If you are looking for slapstick comedy or cheap laughs, you will have to steer away from this one.
If you like ridiculous a la Pineapple Express or Tropic Thunder than this is for you.
With all title characters playing themselves living in a world that is literally about to go through the Apocalypse.
James Franco plays host to all his real life Hollywood friends, and shi) is about to hit the fan. Survival of the fittest is the name of the game and Danny McBride is there to screw it all up. Although I do not find any of these actors insanely funny, together, Seth Rogen, Jonah Hill, Danny McBride, Craig Robinson, Jay Baruchel (Montreal's very own) and James Franco do make this film hilarious at times.
Screenplay is by McGills graduate Evan Goldberg.
Cameos of the likes of Aziz Ansari, Micheal Cera...on heroin, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, Paul Rudd, Channing Tatum, Jason Segel, Back Street Boys and more.
7/10 for a comedy
