Syfy Chanel has just announced that Ian Ziering and Tara Reid will reprise their roles as Fin and April for the previously announced Sharknado sequel, Sharknado 2: The Second One, which begins filming in New York on February 13.
Sharknado.
In Sharknado 2: The Second One, a freak weather system turns its deadly fury on New York City, unleashing a Sharknado on the population and its most cherished, iconic sites - and only Fin and April can save the Big Apple.
Sharknado 2 is scheduled to premiere on Syfy in July.
Said Thomas Vitale, Executive Vice President, Programming and Original Movies, Syfy: "'Sharknado' was an extraordinary 'perfect storm' which captured the attention of movie fans across the globe. You couldn't go anywhere without hearing about 'Sharknado'! By reassembling the creative team - and dropping sharks onto New York's iconic sites - we're unleashing yet another 'fin' wave of shark-mania."
Added Paul Bales, COO, The Asylum: "We're thrilled to be able to bring back the talent that made 'Sharknado' a hit. Can lightning strike twice? I don't know, but it's a scientific fact that you're more likely to be killed by lightning than by a shark. This film will have lightning and sharks, so that's got to count for something."
The Asylum and Syfy have struck a deal with legendary casting director Mike Fenton and his partner Ann Frederick, of Fenton-Frederick Casting, to supervise cameo casting.
Anthony Ferrante will once again direct from a screenplay by Thunder Levin, who also wrote the original

Watch: Seth MacFarlane's 'A Million Ways To Die In The West' trailer featuring Charlize Thernon, Liam Neeson, Neil Patrick Harris
While Seth MacFarlane could've taken the easy road and simply cranked out a sequel following his surprise smash hit "Ted" (though, yes, "Ted 2" is slated for a 2015 release) he chose to raise his game for his sophomore feature film. Taking a lead role, and tackling a genre that's tricky to pull off (Western Comedy), the result is "A Million Ways To Die In The West" and the first trailer is here.
Co-starring a wacky ensemble that includes Amanda Seyfried, Neil Patrick Harris, Liam Neeson, Sarah Silverman and Giovanni Ribisi, the story follows a cowardly sheep farmer whose girlfriend leaves him after he backs out of a gunfight. But redemption and love may be around the corner when a new woman rides into town, though, first, the farmer will have to deal with her outlaw husband who arrives looking for revenge.

Neil Marshall to Direct Constantine TV adaptation Pilot .
It was just two weeks ago that NBC announced they had ordered a pilot for David Goyer and Daniel Cerone's ("The Mentalist") script for "Constantine," a series based on the DC Comics/Vertigo character, and now Deadline reports that director Neil Marshall will step behind the camera and bring the pilot to life.
Marshall is no stranger to supernatural stories having directed the cult hit Dog Soldiers, along with The Descent, Doomsday and Centurion, as well as two episodes of Starz's "Black Sails" and HBO's "Game of Thrones."
Created by Alan Moore, Steve Bissette and John Totleben, John Constantine, a roguish magician/detective/conman, first appeared during the author's run on "Swamp Thing" in 1985, receiving his own series, "Hellblazer," under DC's Vertigo imprint in 1988. That book ran for 300 issues before it was relaunched in DC's "New 52" continuity as "Constantine" with a younger take on the antihero. It's speculated that the latest incarnation of the character will serve as the building blocks for the TV series.
Keanu Reeves previously played the character on the big screen in Warner Bros.' 2005 release Constantine, which was directed by Francis Lawrence ("The Hunger Games" films).

Andrew Lincoln Talks Back 8 Episodes of The Walking Dead Season 4
News out of Etertainment weekly.
Following the explosive mid-season finale for "The Walking Dead," the characters in the series found themselves separated and alone, and it seems things aren't going to get better very quickly. Speaking with EW, star Andrew Lincoln spoke about the remaining 8 episodes in the season which he says has some of his favorite episodes in the series.
"I’m really excited about the back 8 episodes. I think there’s a different tone to the back 8, and I think you’re going to see a lot of characters that you haven’t seen under the microscope as much all have their chance to shine. And people are putting in some tremendous performances. I think there were three scripts that were some of my favorite that I’ve ever done in the back 8. But it’s different, and that’s what’s so admirable about it with Scott Gimple’s vision. It’s a very different tone for the show and I think you learn a lot. It’s very character driven, very soulful — much more reminiscent of the first season, I think, just because they’re all out and alone and they’re much more vulnerable. And also because they’re apart from each other you realize that without each other their family is dying. It’s almost like vignettes; it’s like character studies in all of the characters. The underpinning of all of this is the great hope they can find each other again."
Without giving too much away, Lincoln also says that the separation of the characters will lead to some interesting pairings.
"It’s not only a change of pace, but what it does is it rewards the audience that perhaps doesn’t know about certain characters’ backstories and histories. There are some very witty pairings is what I will say. Really, really witty."
"The Walking Dead" returns with all-new episodes on Sunday, February 9 at 9 p.m. on AMC.

Jesse Eisenberg and Jeremy Irons Cast in the Superman/Batman Film!
Warner Bros. Pictures announced today that Jesse Eisenberg has been set to star as Lex Luthor and Jeremy Irons will play Alfred in the upcoming Zack Snyder untitled Superman/Batman film. The dual announcement was made today by Greg Silverman, President, Creative Development and Worldwide Production, and Sue Kroll, President, Worldwide Marketing and International Distribution, Warner Bros. Pictures.
Snyder stated, "Lex Luthor is often considered the most notorious of Supermans rivals, his unsavory reputation preceding him since 1940. What's great about Lex is that he exists beyond the confines of the stereotypical nefarious villain. He's a complicated and sophisticated character whose intellect, wealth and prominence position him as one of the few mortals able to challenge the incredible might of Superman. Having Jesse in the role allows us to explore that interesting dynamic, and also take the character in some new and unexpected directions."
The director added, "As everyone knows, Alfred is Bruce Wayne's most trusted friend, ally and mentor, a noble guardian and father figure. He is an absolutely critical element in the intricate infrastructure that allows Bruce Wayne to transform himself into Batman. It is an honor to have such an amazingly seasoned and gifted actor as Jeremy taking on the important role of the man who mentors and guides the guarded and nearly impervious faade that encapsulates Bruce Wayne."
Eisenberg received Academy Award, Golden Globe Award, Screen Actors Guild Award and BAFTA Award nominations for his starring role as Mark Zuckerberg in David Finchers The Social Network. He also starred in Woody Allen's To Rome with Love and Louis Letterier's Now You See Me. He next appears in The Double and NightMoves.
Irons won the Academy Award for his portrayal of Claus von Blow in Reversal of Fortune. His work in the film also garnered him a Golden Globe Award. He won an Emmy Award and a Screen Actors Guild (SAG) Award for his performance in the TV miniseries "Elizabeth I," opposite Helen Mirren, and recently starred on the small screen as Rodrigo Borgia in Neil Jordan's highly acclaimed Showtime series "The Borgias," for which Irons earned a Golden Globe nomination. He was recently nominated for a SAG Award for the PBS Great Performances television miniseries "The Hollow Crown," for his performance as Henry IV.
Snyder's film stars Henry Cavill, reprising his role as Superman/Clark Kent, Ben Affleck as Batman/Bruce Wayne, and Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman/Diana Prince. The film also reunites Man of Steel stars Amy Adams, Laurence Fishburne and Diane Lane.
The new film is currently being written by Chris Terrio, from a screenplay by David S. Goyer. Charles Roven and Deborah Snyder are producing, with Benjamin Melniker, Michael E. Uslan, Wesley Coller, David S. Goyer and Geoff Johns serving as executive producers.
The film is set to open worldwide on May 6, 2016, and is based on Superman characters created by Jerry Siegel &Joe Shuster, Batman characters created by Bob Kane, and Wonder Woman created by William Moulton Marston, appearing in comic books published by DC Entertainment

Trailer for Robert Rodriguez's TV ‘From Dusk Till Dawn: The Series’
However, Rodriguez had never attempted a television series until now. This spring Robert Rodriguez is launching his El Rey network, and its first original program is none other than a series adaptation of one of his more underrated big-screen projects, the 1996 action/horror film From Dusk Till Dawn. That film – which was a collaboration with Quentin Tarantino, who wrote the script – starred George Clooney and Tarantino as brothers and criminals on the run to Mexico.
Now, courtesy of Entertainment Weekly, we have our first look at a teaser for From Dusk Till Dawn: The Series, along with a poster featuring Eiza González as the villainous Satánico
Pandemonium ( originally played by Salma Hayek). The full poster image is below.
González certainly looks the part of the demonic dancer in the image, and the footage confirms previous reports that this series will kick off essentially as a retelling of the original film. Rodriguez has said that From Dusk Till Dawn: The Series aims to expand the mythology merely hinted at in the film (which spawned two direct-to-video sequels). However, it’s difficult to tell where the show may lead judging solely by this teaser, aside from the addition of a more balanced portrayal of cops versus robbers.
Whereas the film focused almost exclusively on the infamous Gecko Brothers (played on the show by D.J. Cotrona and Zane Holtz), the series will likely show new character Ranger Freddie Gonzalez (Jessie Garcia) as he pursues the Geckos and may even keep Sheriff Earl McGraw (a character originated by Michael Parks; played here by Don Johnson) around for a bit longer. How the story will play out once the Geckos cross the border, thanks to former preacher Jacob Fuller (Robert Patrick) and his family, remains to be seen.

Script completed for Star Wars: Episode VII with Breaking Bad link
According to the Wrap
The next chapter in the Star Wars saga is just about ready to shoot as director J.J. Abrams (also co-writing alongside Lawrence Kasdan) reveals that the screenplay for Star Wars: Episode VII is complete.
We're working really hard and we've got our script and we're in deep prep, Abrams tells The Wrap. Full steam ahead, y'know?
Abrams also responded to a question about the recent rumor that "Breaking Bad" star Jesse Plemons has read for a role. Although Abrams confirms that Plemons has auditioned, he also cautions fans that a lot more is going on behind the scenes than makes it to the headlines, refusing to disclose whether or not Plemons is actually anywhere close to a role.
Scripted by J.J. Abrams and Lawrence Kasdan, Star Wars: Episode VII is rumored to focus on a new generation of heroes and could include appearances by Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher and Harrison Ford in older incarnations of their beloved characters from the original Star Wars trilogy. The film is expected to begin shortly and will hit theaters on December 18, 2015.
