Production on the latest Terminator film is set to begin this April

Arnold Schwarzenegger will be returning to the franchise, presumably as one of the titular robots. Speaking at a fan even at the Arnold Sports Festival​ in Columbus (via The Arnold Fans), Schwarzenegger was very optimistic about the shoot and gave some new details about locations and his thoughts on the script.

"We start filming in the middle or in the end of April and it will be a four or four-and-a-half month long shoot. We will be filming it in New Orleans with some of it in San Francisco and maybe a little of it in LA but most of it will be done in New Orleans. I'm really looking forward to that because as you know, the last time when they did the Terminator, it was when I was Governor and so I couldn't be in that movie but now I'm back again and they are very excited about having me in the film... The script is fantastic so I'm really looking forward to this film."

The first in a stand-alone trilogy, the new Terminator will also star Jason Clarke, Emilia Clarke, and Jai Courtney. David Ellison will produce with Laeta Kalorgridis (Avatar, Shutter Island) and Patrick Lussier (Drive Angry) attached to write the screenplay.​

Set to be directed by Thor: The Dark World's Alan Taylor, the film will open in theaters on July 1, 2015.

Game of Thrones Emilia Clarke has been cast as Terminator's Sarah Connor

"Game of Thrones" star Emilia Clarke has won the role of Sarah Connor in the upcoming Terminator reboot. Deadline has the news, reporting that Clarke joins the already-attached Arnold Schwarzenegger with Jason Clarke nearly set to play a later version of Sarah Connor's son, John Connor.

The first in a stand-alone trilogy, Terminator will be produced by Megan Ellison of Annapurna and David Ellison of Skydance. Dana Goldberg and Paul Schwake of Skydance will serve as executive producers. Laeta Kalorgridis (Avatar, Shutter Island) and Patrick Lussier (Drive Angry) are attached to write the screenplay.

Alan Taylor, who has previously worked with Emilia Clarke on the hit HBO fantasy series, is directing the new film, which is slated to hit theaters July 2, 2015.

Terminator Reboot fresh off the...net news

I has been reporting by Production Weekly, that the upcoming Terminator film may have its title. The site reports that "Terminator: Genesis" is the current name for the project, however, the site notes that a pre-production title is only that- pre production, and may therefore undergo a change.

 Casting is still coming together for the film which is said to also be looking for a new John Connor and Kyle Reese. It's reported that the production is concentrating on casting Sarah before any of the other roles with Brie Larson and Emilia Clarke said to be the frontrunners.

New Terminator movie reboot news and new TV series coming soon

Skydance Productions and Annapurna Pictures have confirmed the earlier report that they are looking at bringing Terminator to television which will be a tie-in to the James Cameroin original 1984 version and a Segway to the upcoming reboot.
The new TV series is said to connect to the original timeline of James Cameron's 1984 in a way that will allow set up the upcoming big screen release.
No said date for the TV series, however chances are that it will be coming sometime later 2014 since  the new Terminator movie is scheduled for a summer 2015 release.
