The Crow remake, starring Luke Evans news, staying true to the comic book

Speaking with Metro UK, actor Luke Evans, who will play the title character in the film, spoke about the tragedy of Brandon Lee, the themes of the movie, as well as saying their film will be very close to the source material.

"It is incredibly sad that Brendon died making the movie. He was a very talented actor. It is a very beautiful story, The Crow. It is a very tragic story with huge emotional themes. We plan to tell the story differently and with a lot of integrity to the original comic book."

Evans will star in the lead role of Eric, who will become The Crow after meeting an untimely demise. Set to be directed by F. Javier Gutierrez, the film features a script by Cliff Dorfman. Series creator James O'Barr will also work as a creative consultant on the film, which is said to begin production in 2014. No release date is currently set.

This week in unnecessary remakes: Patrick Swayze's Road House

First of all; Why?
Second of all; it was a cinematic flop.
3rd of all...the story was ridiculous back in 1989 and sounds even more ridiculous now.

Road House is basically a Coyote Ugly minus the T'n'A.
For those of you who forget the story goes as follows"
"Patrick Swayze plays a bouncer hired to tame a rowdy bar in Missouri called 'The Double Deuce.' "

I wish MGM good luck with this remake and ...wait...actually no , no I don't wish them luck because if this remake is somehow successful then this opens the door for other mediocre MGM films to be remade such as Quigley Down Under or The Meteor Man.
