Review of: West Of Memphis

Review of: West Of Memphis

As my earlier post suggests, West of Memphis had been on my radar for some time.
Having watched the HBO trilogy Paradise Lost as well as an occasional spectator of the ongoing criminal case, my interest for this documentary was high.
I did enjoy the film ...despite its running time- whopping 2:30hr documentary.
It certainly doesn't give the viewers closure but did satisfy my intrigue with the case.
I can see how the lenght of the film may lose some potentially interested viewers, but for anyone who has heard of the case or cares to watch some absolutely mind boggling lapse of judicial justice, this is a great watch. 7/10

Review on: West Of Memphis documentary coming

I'm super excited about watching this one tonight,
Watch the trailer here
A very important documentary about prejudice, stereotypes and corruption in justice.
Even though I have watched and enjoyed the Paradise Lost trilogy; the story about the West Memphis 3 trials, I am quite ecstatic for this "adaptation" and have to admit that my expectations are high.
This film is backed, as well as co-produced, by Peter Jackson of the Lord of the Rings trilogy.
For those of you who may not be familiar with the story, please do take a brief moment to read up on the story of these 3 young men http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/West_Memphis_Three
