Zachary Quinto Joins Hitman Video Game Reboot Agent 47

News out of Deadline.com
Zachary Quinto is set to join Rupert Friend in 20th Century Fox's upcoming big screen reboot of the Hitman video game franchise, Agent 47. The news arrives via Deadline and comes just two weeks after word broke of Friend's involvement, replacing the late Paul Walker in the title role.

The Square Enix title (previously from Eidos Interactive) was turned into the 2007 movie Hitman with Timothy Olyphant in the lead. The Xavier Gens-directed action thriller earned just under $100 million at worldwide theaters.

Quinto is best known for playing Spock in both of the J.J. Abrams-directed Star Trek sequels. He's also well known to genre fans for his role as Sylar on NBC's "Heroes."

Skip Woods, who wrote the first film, is also providing the script for Agent 47 with Michael Finch. Commercials director Aleksander Bach is attached to helm. Producers include Chuck Gordon, Alex Young and Adrian Askarieh. Daniel Alter will serve as executive producer.
